Finding Your Dancer’s Path: Inside CDA’s Competitive Programs

Here at CDA, we believe there’s no one-size-fits-all path when it comes to dance training. That’s why our competitive programs are designed to meet your dancer exactly where they are, whether they’re just starting to explore the stage or dreaming of a professional career.

With multiple levels of performance and competition teams, CDA offers opportunities for dancers to grow at their own pace while building confidence, connection, and a lifelong love for dance.

🌟Captiv8 Crew (Pre-K–12th Grade)

Perfect for dancers who can’t wait to perform, Captiv8 Crew is our beginner-friendly, performance-based team. Crew dancers enjoy the thrill of being on stage while learning foundational technique, teamwork, and stage presence, all in a supportive, low-pressure environment. They’ll perform one competition routine and appear in up to four events throughout the year, including our studio showcase and three local competitions. New this year: an optional Nationals opportunity for families who want to go all in!

🌟Crew+ (K–12th Grade)

Ready to turn up the volume? Crew+ is the perfect bridge between Crew and Company. Dancers in this program perform two routines (one with Captiv8 Crew and one exclusive to Crew+) giving them more stage time, more training, and more chances to shine. With added technical classes and structured rehearsals, Crew+ helps dancers build strength, artistry, and confidence while still keeping the joy and flexibility that make our programs so special.

🌟Technique Intensive (TI) Program

Our Technique Intensive (TI) Program is designed for the serious, committed dancer who is ready to take their training to the highest level. This invitation-only program offers focused, well-rounded instruction across multiple disciplines including Ballet, Pointe, Jazz, Tap, Conditioning, and Stretch.

TI dancers train between 3 to 6 days per week, with a curriculum that emphasizes discipline, versatility, and technical excellence. These classes are designed to challenge and elevate dancers who are passionate about refining their craft and pursuing competitive or pre-professional goals.

Our CDA Company is where passion meets performance. This advanced, audition-based team is for dancers who are ready to commit to a higher level of training, competition, and artistry. Company dancers represent CDA at top competitions, attend professional conventions, and are expected to embody the values of teamwork, professionalism, and perseverance. If your dancer thrives on stage and dreams big, Company could be the next step.

🌟Pre-Pro Program

At the top of our training pyramid is the Pre-Pro Program, CDA’s most elite track. Reserved for dancers who show exceptional talent, discipline, and passion, Pre-Pro includes everything in the Company program plus additional routines, exclusive technique classes with guest artists, and more conventions throughout the season. This program is designed for dancers preparing for a future in dance, whether on stage, in college, or beyond.
