1. Pick the Perfect Dance Outfit

Check out our Dress Code for what to wear for your specific class. We also have a list of Class Essentials for you to easily purchase!
2. Bring a Positive Attitude
Dancing is all about having fun and expressing yourself! Embrace the opportunity to learn new moves, make new friends, and enjoy the experience. Remember, everyone starts as a beginner, and making mistakes
3. Pack Your Dance Bag
Here’s a list of ideas for what to pack in your CDA Dance Bag:
Water Bottle: Dancing is a physical activity that makes you sweat, leading to loss of fluids. Staying hydrated helps replace these lost fluids
Snack: A healthy snack, like a piece of fruit or some nuts, can be a great boost before or after class.
Extra Clothes: If you’re coming straight from school or other activities, having an extra change of clothes is a smart idea.
4. Arrive Early
Getting to your class a few minutes early will help you get settled in and meet your teacher. It’s a great chance to check out the studio and get comfortable with your new surroundings. Plus, it gives you a moment to calm any pre-class jitters!
5. Listen and Learn
Your dance teacher is there to help you learn and have a great time. Listen carefully, follow their instructions, and don’t be afraid to ask questions if you’re unsure about something. Remember, they’re there to support you every step of the way.
6. Be Ready to Have Fun!
Dance classes are all about moving to the music, learning new steps, and enjoying yourself. So, when you step into that studio, be ready to let loose, make new friends, and just have a blast.
We can’t wait to see you in class and watch you dance your heart out. If you have any more questions or need any extra tips, feel free to ask. Here’s to a fantastic first dance class and many more to come!
